What are those tubes?
Why are there concrete tubes in our porches you ask?
Most builders fill a porch with gravel, compact it, and pour the concrete slab. We go a step further. To better stabilize the slab and prevent settling over time, we use concrete tubes under the slab. When we pour concrete, we will fill these tubes and in effect, create a solid concrete pier under the slab. The cost is minimal and the long term benefits are more than worth it.
This is just another example of how we build a better home!
